AR / Collections Team Leader

About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on AR / Collections Team Leader to take ownership of our collections team and drive measurable improvements in performance, productivity, and results.

This is a front-line leadership role. We are looking for someone who works closely with their team every day — coaching agents, monitoring performance, developing skills, solving problems, and holding people accountable for their KPIs.

This is not an Operations Manager role. You will not be managing other managers or sitting several levels above the team. We need someone who is comfortable being directly involved in the day-to-day performance of their team and who understands what it takes to get the best out of individual contributors.
You should be the type of leader who knows your team's numbers, understands where performance is falling short, knows why it is happening, and takes action to fix it.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team




• Directly manage and support a team of AR / Collections agents.
• Set clear expectations around productivity, quality, collections, follow-ups, and other KPIs.
• Monitor individual and team performance closely.
• Coach team members on a consistent basis to improve their skills and results.
• Identify knowledge, skill, and performance gaps and implement targeted development plans.
• Help team members become more confident and effective in handling objections and difficult conversations.
• Recognise strong performance while addressing underperformance quickly and fairly.
• Conduct performance conversations and structured improvement plans when required.

Own Team Performance & KPIs
• Take accountability for the team's overall collections performance.
• Track daily activity, follow-ups, productivity, aging, and collection results.
• Use performance data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities.
• Ensure team members understand their KPI
