We are seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer – Finance & Marketing Operations to join our Data & Business Intelligence team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the data architecture supporting critical financial and marketing operations. You will take ownership of ETL pipelines, database transformations, and business intelligence reporting processes to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and operational efficiency.

The idóneo candidate has strong technical expertise in ETL development, SQL, and BI solutions, combined with an understanding of financial transactions, payment integrations, marketing data, and production data environments.

Key Responsibilities:

- ETL Development & Maintenance: Design, maintain, and optimize ETL pipelines using Pentaho Kettle (v9.3 Community) to support financial and marketing data operations.
- Database Management: Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, transformations, and data integration processes using MariaDB.
- Data Integration & Automation: Ensure reliable data extraction, transformation, and loading across multiple business systems and platforms.
- Finance & Marketing Data Operations: Work with financial transactions, payment gateways (PSPs), tax reporting, controlling reconciliations, and marketing campaign cost data.
- Business Intelligence & Reporting: Design, develop, and maintain financial dashboards and reports using Qlik Sense to provide accurate business insights.
- Data Quality & Reliability: Monitor data accuracy, identify inconsistencies, and implement improvements to ensure reliable reporting.
- Production Support & Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve production data issues,



ensuring business-critical data pipelines operate efficiently.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Marketing, and technical teams to understand business requirements and deliver effective data solutions.

Required Qualifications:

- 4+ years of professional experience implementing ETL processes, managing databases, and developing Business Intelligence solutions.
- Strong hands-on experience with Pentaho Kettle, preferably version 9.3 Community, or similar ETL tools such as Talend or Informatica.
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, transformations, performance optimization, and data integration.
- Experience working with relational databases such as MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
- Strong experience designing and maintaining dashboards using Qlik Sense.
- Experience with CI/CD processes and tools such as Jenkins.
- Knowledge of financial and marketing data operations, including payment service providers (PSPs), tax reporting, controlling processes, and marketing campaign cost tracking.
- Experience troubleshooting production data issues and maintaining business-critical data pipelines.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with international, cross-functional teams.

Nice to have:

- Experience with additional BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Knowledge of financial reporting, accounting processes, or marketing analytics.
- Experience improving data pipeline performance and implementing data quality controls.
- Experience working in distributed or international engineering teams.
