We are looking for a Senior/Lead Full-Stack Engineer to join a growing engineering team as a fully embedded member of the organization.
You will take ownership of features end-to-end across a Python backend and React frontend, with applications deployed on Microsoft Azure. This is a hands-on engineering role that also sits close to the business. You should be equally comfortable writing production code and communicating with client or business stakeholders.
Success in this role requires the ability to turn unclear or shifting requirements into practical technical plans, make sound decisions with incomplete information, and drive work through production.
What You'll Do
Backend & Frontend Development
- Design and build backend services using Python.
- Create clean APIs consumed by React frontend applications.
- Own features end-to-end, from unclear requirements through implementation and production delivery.
- Write maintainable, well-tested production code.
- Participate actively in code reviews.
- Set technical direction for your work.
- Identify and proactively address technical debt.
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot applications running on Microsoft Azure.
- Take ownership of production issues from diagnosis through resolution.
- Follow through on issues until applications are working as expected.
Collaboration & Client Communication
- Act as a technical point of contact for business stakeholders.
- Explain technical decisions and trade-offs clearly, without unnecessary jargon.
- Challenge requirements constructively when necessary and help clarify them before implementation.
- Participate in sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
- Identify and resolve blockers independently whenever possible.
- Escalate effectively with appropriate context when needed.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on Python experience in production environments.
- Strong hands-on React experience in production environments.
- Experience deploying and operating applications on Microsoft Azure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with incomplete or unclear requirements.
- Ability to independently drive ambiguous problems toward solutions.
- Comfortable working with minimal oversight and taking ownership.
- Willingness & Availability to relocate to the US if needed.
