We are seeking a skilled AI-Augmented Software Engineer who can effectively leverage AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot and Gemini Code Assist to accelerate software development, improve code quality, and enhance engineering productivity. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys building modern applications, adopting emerging development practices, and contributing to collaborative delivery teams in an AI-enabled engineering environment.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Conversational English level B2 or higher.
- Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools and workflows.
- 5 – 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java and development of REST APIs using RESTEasy or similar frameworks.
- Experience working with SOAP services, XML, schemas, and service contracts.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills for Java/JVM-based applications.
- Experience working within both on-premise and cloud-based environments (AWS or Azure).
- Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
- Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL fundamentals (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.).
- Insurance or Payment Integrity industry experience preferred.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Experience working within distributed or general delivery teams.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to contribute effectively within Agile/Scrum delivery models.
- Comfortable working in client-facing environments and participating in technical discussions.

Responsibilities AI-Assisted Software Development
- Utilize AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Gemini Code Assist, and cloud-based AI tools to support code generation, refactoring, testing, and documentation activities.
- Apply effective prompting techniques and engineering workflows to improve the quality and reliability of AI-assisted development outputs.




- Contribute to the integration of AI-enabled development practices into day-to-day engineering activities.
- Support measurement and continuous improvement of engineering productivity through AI-assisted workflows.
- Leverage AI tools to support code reviews, quality assurance activities, and development best practices.

Application Development & Integration
- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade applications and APIs using Java and related technologies.
- Build and support RESTful and SOAP-based integrations across internal and third-party systems.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance application performance in Java/JVM-based environments.
- Participate in solution implementation across hybrid on-premise and cloud-based architectures.
- Contribute to CI/CD automation, testing strategies, and deployment reliability initiatives.

Team Collaboration & Delivery Support
- Collaborate effectively with distributed and offshore development teams in an Agile delivery environment.
- Participate in sprint planning, technical discussions, code reviews, and backlog refinement activities.
- Support delivery teams by helping resolve technical challenges and maintaining development momentum.
- Contribute to client demonstrations, solution discussions, and other collaborative delivery activities as needed.

Nice to have
- AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure certifications.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or container-based deployment technologies.
- Familiarity with caching technologies such as Redis or ElastiCache.
- Experience with Python, R, or related scripting/data-oriented languages.
- Familiarity with API management platforms such as Apigee, Kong, MuleSoft, or Azure API Management.
- Knowledge of microservices,



event-driven architectures, and messaging platforms such as Kafka, JMS, or RabbitMQ.
