The Head of Fast Charging leads the development and commercial performance of BYD's Flash Charging business across Latin America. The role sets regional strategy and investment priorities, adapting the operating model to each market within BYD's global standards and proven industry practices.

Working with headquarters and local management, the [Role Name] leads country programs and works with the regional Product and Technology team, aligning network expansion with vehicle sales, customer demand and financial sustainability.

Job Responsibilities

1. Regional Strategy: Define market priorities, network coverage and rollout plans based on EV adoption, customer needs, competition and project economics.

2. Business Performance: Own the regional business plan and financial performance. Set revenue, utilization and cost targets, develop pricing principles and revise investment proposals for approval.

3. Strategic Partnerships: Lead regional agreements and support country teams in major negotiations with dealers, retailers, property owners, energy companies and charging partners. Establish commercial terms that secure site access, competitive electricity supply and operating rights.

4. Program Delivery: Set country targets and delivery standards. Review site pipelines, budgets and construction progress, resolve critical dependencies and hold country teams accountable for opening and operating stations.

5. Operating Models: Define the appropriate balance of BYD and partner responsibilities in each market across real estate, engineering and construction, field maintenance and digital services. Establish procurement and contracting frameworks with the relevant functions.

6. Product and Technology: Set regional business priorities for charging equipment,



energy storage, software and payments. Work with the regional Product and Technology Supervisor to align integral capabilities with local business needs.

7. Network Operations: Set service standards and review availability, charging success, customer experience and operating costs. Drive corrective actions and improvements across markets.

8. Regional Leadership: Develop country and regional capabilities, allocate resources and share proven practices. Represent the business with key partners and authorities, coordinating regulatory and commercial issues with local management, Finance and Legal.

Qualification Requirements

1. Experience: At least 12 years of experience in energy, mobility or infrastructure, including more than five years of direct experience in EV charging.

2. Business Leadership: Proven experience developing charging businesses, negotiating partnerships and managing commercial results. Experience spanning charging operations, equipment suppliers and energy or mobility businesses is particularly relevant.

3. Regional Experience: Experience conducting business in Latin America and coordinating local teams with global headquarters. Ability to adapt business models to different markets and lead through direct and functional reporting relationships.

4. Technical and Commercial Knowledge: Sound understanding of charging economics, network planning, grid connections, energy storage and the relationship between charging hardware, operating platforms and customer services.

5. Education and Languages: Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or a related field. An MBA or equivalent business qualification is an advantage. Fluent English and Spanish. Availability for regional and international travel.
