This person combines manual testing with automated scripts, executing smoke, integration, and performance tests while documenting feature behavior and correlating failures to defects.

Script skills and comfort with Gherkin-based BDD are central to the role.WHAT YOU WILL DO- Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.- Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined set of criteria.- Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types to ensure proper behavior of software.- Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.- Record pass/fails conditions of tests and correlate failures to bug identification.- Identify and escalate any risk to quality of the product or the process.- Collaborate with the product team to ensure quality throughout the SDLC and product release cycles.- Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in the testing strategy.- Participate in refinement and estimations of effort to promote accurate planning.- Utilize Git

Hub to maintain automation repositories, run custom scripts, and facilitate automated quality practices.- Participate in On-Call rotation.MUST HAVES- 3+ years of experience in a software quality assurance role.- 3+ years of experience in automated testing.- Strong written and verbal communication skills.- Possess a mindset focused on holistic quality.- Experience with programming languages such as Java

Requirements

Strong hands-on Type

Script engineering skills (at least 3+ YoE) and the autonomy to own a product's technical development as its sole allocated engineer.

Ability to understand and work with the Java

Script/Type

Script application ecosystem and its build tooling.

Critical thinking: break complex problems into clear steps, challenge assumptions, and ask useful questions of teammates and AI agents.

Ability to supervise AI-assisted development, review generated code, and verify that implementations achieve the intended result.
