ABOUT THE JOB Kent is looking for an Engineer II to support ongoing projects. SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities Design Development:Prepare and review designs (documents and drawings) and incorporate comments in accordance with specific requests from the Engineering area and Projects, using applicable software, the Office suite and standards, in order to meet the discipline requirements. Man-Hour Recording:Record the man-hours spent on each deliverable/activity in the company’s man-hour recording and control system, in order to issue deliverables without a negative man-hour variance. Technical Quality Management of Deliverables:Use the tools and methods established by the company to control the quality of deliverables, according to the assigned specialty and the defined standards and control schemes, in order to ensure that all projects comply with the Quality and Compliance parameters defined in each project’s Quality Plan and in the Value Promise. Quantity Take-Off Estimation:Estimate and review quantities of work by specialty based on the design documents, for budgeting purposes. Support for Client Technical Queries:Support the Specialist Engineer and/or Project Manager in responding to technical queries raised by the client, participating in formal and periodic meetings with the Specialist Engineer or Discipline Lead, in order to properly resolve concerns and remain alert to scope changes that require immediate change-control actions. YOUR KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Knowledge, interpretation and application of standards and codes applicable to the Oil & Gas sector. Experience in design activities in the Oil & Gas sector according to the specialty. Basic knowledge of planning, budgeting, control and monitoring of project activities. In particular, intermediate knowledge in reading MS Project reports or an equivalent platform is required. Basic knowledge of AutoCAD. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). Knowledge of HSEQ. Knowledge and experience in the development of mechanical facilities, as well as basic capability and knowledge in the selection of rotating and static equipment associated with processes in the Oil & Gas industry. Knowledge of software used in Mechanical Engineering activities, specifically for the Oil & Gas industry. For example, software for modeling and design of static equipment such as pressure vessels and tanks, and software for simulation and pump selection runs. Knowledge and experience in materials for static and rotating equipment. Preferably, basic knowledge of static equipment design software such as Compress, PV Lite, TANK or similar. HABILIDADES Y RESPONSABILIDADES Responsabilidades Elaboración de Diseños:Elaborar y revisar diseños (documentos y planos) e incorporar comentarios, de acuerdo con las solicitudes puntuales del área de Ingeniería y de los Proyectos, utilizando el software, el paquete Office y las normas, con el fin de dar cumplimiento a los requerimientos de la disciplina. Registro Horas-Hombre:Registrar el consumo de Horas Hombre de cada entregable/actividad en el Sistema de registro y control de Horas Hombre establecido por la empresa, con el fin de lograr emitir productos sin desfase negativo de Horas Hombre. Gestión de Calidad Técnica en Entregables:Utilizar las herramientas y métodos establecidos por la compañía para el control de la calidad de los entregables, de acuerdo con la especialidad a la que se encuentra asignado, utilizando los estándares y esquemas de control definidos, con el fin de garantizar que en todos los proyectos se cumplan los parámetros de Calidad y Cumplimiento definidos en el Plan de Calidad de cada proyecto y en la Promesa de Valor. Estimación de Cantidades de Obra:Estimar y revisar las cantidades de obra por especialidad, a partir de los documentos de diseño, con fines presupuestales. Apoyo en Consultas Técnicas de Clientes:Apoyar al Ingeniero Especialista y/o al Gerente de Proyecto en las consultas técnicas que realice el cliente, interactuando en reuniones formales y periódicas con el Ingeniero Especialista o el Jefe de Especialidad, con el fin de resolver adecuadamente las inquietudes y estar atentos a las modificaciones de alcance que obliguen a aplicar, de forma inmediata, acciones de control de cambios. TUS CONOCIMIENTOS/HABILIDADES, EDUCACIÓN Y EXPERIENCIA Conocimiento, interpretación y aplicación de Normas y Estándares aplicables al sector de Petróleo y Gas. Experiencia en diseños en el sector Oil & Gass según la especialidad. Conocimientos básicos en planificación, presupuesto, control y seguimiento de actividades de los proyectos.
