The Senior Accountant is responsible for applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to prepare accurate and timely financial reporting and related accounting schedules for a public company. The senior accountant must apply appropriate accounting control procedures in all aspects of the accounting process, including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and revenue recognition. The Senior Accountant reports to the Controller.Responsibilities:Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, reports and associated schedules in a timely manner to meet monthly accounting reporting deadlinesPrepare and submit journal entries to ensure financial statements are maintained in compliance with GAAPPrepare and organize management reports, account reconciliations and analysis of various operating units, departments, and clientsEnsure accurate and timely monthly,



quarterly and year end close processes in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley reporting requirementsReview and approve purchasing card transactions in the credit card banking portal to ensure project allocations and receipts are identified.Assist with revenue reporting to determine monthly accruals and deferrals based on client contract agreements.Assist with forecasting by updating and actualizing monthly budget files and loading to OneStream and Cognos analytic tool for three business unitsPrepare monthly variance analysesProcess and provide client fee estimation requestsPrepare internal and external audit documentationPrepare working capital analyses in collaboration with Billers (AR Collections & WIP)Manage credit grade requests for new clients and vendors (Credit Voyager)Manage multiple projects and rapidly changing priorities in a collaborative team environment while prioritizing customer serviceReview and approve monthly Sales & Use tax calculations and paymentsBackup for offshore Accounts Payable team during local holiday time-offQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in accounting or financeCPA or Chartered Accountant preferred but not required6+ years’ experience in managing financial systems, budgets, financial reporting, and data analysisUnderstanding of US GAAP with an emphasis on revenue recognitionExperience with Microsoft D365 a plusAdvanced proficiency in MS ExcelProficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat (PDF)Excellent written and oral communication skillsSkilled at working independently and problem-solvingConfident in ability to interact with staff and clients#J-18808-Ljbffr
