Job Description

We are seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead mining operations and projects across Latin America, ensuring high standards of safety, productivity, operational efficiency, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee mining operations, ensuring production targets, cost control, and profitability objectives are achieved.

- Develop and implement strategies to optimize processes, improve productivity, and reduce operational costs.

- Oversee mine planning, mineral processing, maintenance, exploration, and technical services.

- Manage expansion, construction, commissioning, and start-up of mining projects.

- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.

- Manage operational and capital expenditure budgets (OPEX and CAPEX).

- Lead multidisciplinary and international teams, fostering a culture of operational excellence.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, Geology, or a related field. Postgraduate degree preferred.

- Ideally 20 years of experience in the mining industry, including at least 10 years in senior operational leadership roles.

- Experience in mechanized underground mining is essential.





- Strong knowledge of mineral processing, mine planning, and operational optimization.

- Experience in mining project construction, expansion, commissioning, or start-up.

- Demonstrated success managing complex mining operations and international teams.

- Proven track record of improving productivity, reducing costs, and increasing profitability.

- Advanced English proficiency is required.
