Role Description This full-time Technical Apprentice role at Santiago Velez & Asociados Corredores de Seguros S.A. is an on-site position based in Bogota, D.C.

The Technical

Apprentice supports insurance operations by assisting with policy administration, data entry, and documentation management under the guidance of senior team members. Daily tasks may include organizing and updating client records, preparing basic reports, helping process insurance applications and renewals, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely information flow. The role also involves learning company systems and tools, following established procedures, and participating in training to build technical knowledge of insurance products, regulatory requirements, and internal workflows.

The apprentice is expected to contribute to a collaborative work environment, maintain high standards of accuracy, and provide professional support to the technical and commercial teams.

Qualifications

- Ability to learn and apply technical concepts related to insurance products, coverage, and regulatory requirements.




- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling data entry, documentation, and administrative tasks.
- Proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email) and comfort working with internal systems.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, responding to internal inquiries, and documenting processes.
- Organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and follow structured procedures.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn, receive feedback, and participate in ongoing training and development.
- Ability to work on-site in Bogota, D.C., and collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
- Relevant academic background in administration, insurance, finance, or a related field (completed or in progress) is beneficial.
- Prior internship or practical experience in insurance, financial services, or administrative support is a plus.
