Our growing technology function is seeking a Senior Java Developer with strong applied expertise in artificial intelligence. You will help deliver innovation-focused platforms that address demanding technical challenges at scale. The team promotes shared ownership, high engineering standards, and an ongoing drive to improve how work is done. In this position, you will strengthen foundational systems while expanding the practical use of AI across our technology landscape

Responsibilities

- Design and implement resilient software solutions that balance strategic business goals with engineering requirements
- Bring thoughtful contributions to architecture discussions that shape the technical approach of ongoing initiatives
- Work closely with teams from different disciplines to deliver high-quality outcomes within agreed schedules
- Perform peer reviews and share targeted recommendations that enhance code quality and consistency




- Diagnose difficult software challenges and resolve them through structured analysis and corrective action
- Provide hands-on support to junior team members and help advance their technical capability
- Contribute to planning sessions by defining work scope, estimating timelines, and clarifying delivery needs
- Stay informed about emerging development practices and integrate relevant improvements into existing routines
- Create and maintain technical documentation that explains important decisions and supports sustainable code maintenance
- Engage business stakeholders to understand their goals and confirm that delivered solutions match agreed expectations

Requirements

- Three or more years of relevant practical background in professional software development
- Working knowledge of AI concepts and tools that can be applied to strengthen engineering solutions
- Advanced foundation in Java Core programming and object-oriented design practices
- Practical experience using Java 8 features within production development projects
- Strong Spring Boot skills for delivering and supporting server-side application components
- Experience working with services and platforms hosted on Microsoft Azure




- Familiarity with AWS capabilities for administering cloud infrastructure and deployment activities
- Knowledge of CI/CD principles for establishing automated and repeatable release workflows
- Competence in SQL for relational data management, organization, and extraction
- Track record of building distributed applications using microservices architecture patterns
- Ability to develop RESTful services and integrate external REST APIs
- Experience applying unit testing practices to safeguard reliability and verify code behavior
- Understanding of NoSQL database technologies used in Java development environments
- Professional English skills at B2 level or above for workplace communication
