Responsibilities

- Design and implement scalable software systems that meet organizational goals and technical requirements
- Help steer engineering roadmaps by actively participating in architecture-focused discussions
- Work closely with colleagues across business and technology functions to deliver quality software within planned timeframes
- Provide actionable code-review feedback that promotes clean, reliable, and maintainable implementations
- Identify the source of sophisticated technical problems and coordinate their successful remediation
- Guide less experienced team members through hands-on mentoring and the transfer of technical knowledge
- Support planning efforts by contributing project estimates, clarifying deliverables, and assessing scope boundaries
- Evaluate emerging technologies and incorporate beneficial methods into daily development activities
- Produce clear records of engineering decisions and workflows to make the codebase easier to evolve




- Partner with stakeholders to translate needs into requirements and ensure delivery remains aligned with expectations

Requirements

- No fewer than three years of professional practice in software development or a similar technical discipline
- Familiarity with AI tools and concepts that can be leveraged to improve application design and engineering practices
- Advanced grasp of Java Core fundamentals and object-oriented development techniques
- Experience using Java 8 features to deliver production-ready solutions
- Capability to create and support backend infrastructure with Spring Boot
- Background operating applications in Microsoft Azure environments
- Working familiarity with Amazon Web Services for cloud solution deployment and management
- Experience with CI/CD automation for streamlined build, testing, and release workflows
- Strong SQL skills for working with structured data in relational database systems
- Track record of delivering service-oriented solutions through microservices architecture patterns
- Experience implementing REST interfaces and integrating them with wider application ecosystems
- Strong unit testing skills for maintaining stable, high-quality code
- Understanding of NoSQL technologies that integrate with Java-based systems
- Fluent English at B2 level or above for workplace communication
