About the RoleAce Link Solutions is looking for a skilled Data & Reporting Automation Analyst to join our team in Bogotá, Colombia, supporting the reporting, analytics, and automation needs of a U.S.-based transportation and logistics company.

This is a hands-on technical role for someone who can independently investigate PostgreSQL databases, develop complex SQL queries, build Power BI dashboards using multiple data sources, and automate reporting processes using tools such as Python and Power Automate.

You'll work closely with our Data Analytics Team Lead and support departments including Operations, Load Planning, Customer Service, Sales, and Accounting.

Excellent English communication skills are essential. You will collaborate with a U.S.-based organization and must be comfortable discussing technical topics, understanding business requirements, and communicating professionally in English, both verbally and in writing.

Key Responsibilities

- PostgreSQL Database Investigation: Explore and investigate PostgreSQL databases, understand schemas and table relationships, identify relevant data sources, and independently determine how to extract the required information.
- SQL Query Development: Create, optimize, maintain, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries involving joins, subqueries, CTEs, aggregations, and data transformations.
- Multi-Source Dashboard Development: Build and maintain Power BI dashboards that combine data from multiple sources, including SQL databases, spreadsheets, CSV files, APIs, and other business systems.
- Data Integration & Modeling: Connect, transform, consolidate, and model data from different sources to create reliable datasets for reporting and analysis.
- Reporting Automation: Design, implement,



and maintain automated reporting processes that reduce manual work, improve efficiency, and ensure consistent delivery of accurate information.
- Power Automate: Develop and maintain automated workflows to execute queries, process data, generate files, distribute reports, and send notifications.
- Python Integration: Use Python to connect to databases, extract and transform data, validate results, and automate recurring reporting tasks.
- Data Quality & Validation: Investigate discrepancies, verify calculations, identify inconsistencies across data sources, and ensure the accuracy and reliability of reports.
- Business Intelligence: Translate business requirements into dashboards, reports, and KPIs that support decision-making across multiple departments.
- Troubleshooting & Optimization: Diagnose and resolve issues involving SQL queries, database connections, dashboards, data refreshes, and automation workflows.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve data accessibility, reporting processes, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, data integration, or a related technical role.
- Strong PostgreSQL experience, including independently investigating unfamiliar databases, navigating schemas, understanding relationships between tables, and extracting data from multiple related tables.
- Hands-on experience building Power BI dashboards using multiple data sources. You must be able to connect, combine, transform, and model data from different systems rather than relying exclusively on pre-prepared datasets.
- Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, subqueries, CTEs, aggregations, and query troubleshooting.




- Practical experience using Python for data processing, database connectivity, or reporting automation.
- Experience developing and maintaining automated reporting workflows using Microsoft Power Automate or similar automation tools.
- Experience validating data, investigating discrepancies, and troubleshooting reporting issues.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, investigate unfamiliar technical environments, and deliver reliable solutions.
- Advanced English proficiency (C1 preferred), both written and spoken. You must be able to communicate clearly and confidently with U.S.-based colleagues.

Nice to Have
- Experience with MySQL in addition to PostgreSQL.
- Experience integrating Python scripts, SQL queries, and Power BI into end-to-end reporting solutions.
- Knowledge of APIs, data connectors, scheduled refreshes, and ETL/ELT processes.
- Familiarity with Tableau or other business intelligence platforms.
- Experience in transportation, logistics, fleet management, or transportation management systems (TMS).
