Legal Assistant – Criminal Defense & Personal Injury

Hourly Rate: $11 - $18 USD/Hour

Part-Time Monthly Rate: $880 - $1,440 (20 hours/week)

Full-Time Monthly Rate: $1,760 - $2,880 (40 hours/week)

About the role:

Support a U.S.-based law firm specializing in criminal defense and personal injury cases. Assist with client intake, legal documentation, case management, bilingual client communication, appointment scheduling, and follow-ups with clients and medical providers.

What You’ll Do

- Conduct client intake calls, gather personal information, and collect required documentation
- Communicate with Spanish-speaking clients, provide case updates, and follow up on missing information
- Interpret and translate calls, client statements, and legal documents
- Draft legal correspondence, complaints, and other documents using provided templates
- Coordinate appointments, meetings, and follow-ups with medical providers
- Organize case files,



update client records, and manage agreements through case management software

What We’re Looking For

- 2+ years of experience in a law firm, legal assistant, or paralegal role
- Background in law; a law degree is preferred but not mandatory
- English C1+ and fluent Spanish
- Experience with personal injury, criminal defense, or U.S. legal procedures is a plus
- Familiarity with drafting demand letters, subrogation letters, and legal documentation
- Strong organization, communication, empathy, and attention to detail
- Comfortable managing multiple cases, client interactions, and deadlines remotely

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST. Work schedules may vary depending on the position and client.
