We are hiring an experienced SDM Core Engineer for placement with one of our reputed Telco-based clients in the Asia region.

This is a hands-on technical engineering role, focused on the deployment, configuration, integration, commissioning, testing, migration, troubleshooting, and operational support of Subscriber Data Management (SDM) solutions. The idóneo candidate should have practical experience with SDM products and subscriber data platforms such as HLR, HSS, UDM, AUSF, One-NDS, and SDL, together with integration across IMS, VoLTE, Packet Core, and 5G Core environments. This is not a managerial or service delivery management position.

The role requires strong hands‑on technical expertise in SDM deployment, integration, testing, migration, and troubleshooting.

Role &

Responsibilities SDM Deployment & Configuration Perform hands‑on installation, deployment, configuration, and commissioning of SDM/Core Network products. Deploy and configure subscriber data platforms and repository components such as Nokia One‑NDS and SDL. Work with HLR, HSS, UDM, AUSF, EIR, and related subscriber data elements. Execute deployment activities across bare‑metal, virtualized, and cloud‑native environments. Prepare and execute Methods of Procedure (MOP). Perform pre‑checks, deployment, post‑checks, service validation, and commissioning. Support production deployment and post‑deployment stabilization. SDM & Core Network Integration Perform hands‑on integration of SDM platforms with the mobile Core Network. Integrate subscriber data platforms with IMS, VoLTE, Packet Core, and 5G Core. Configure and troubleshoot interfaces using Diameter, SIP, HTTP/2, and LDAP. Validate connectivity, signalling, subscriber data flows, and end‑to‑end functionality. Troubleshoot integration issues between SDM and Core Network elements. Coordinate technically with Core Network, IP, transport, cloud, OSS/BSS, and vendor teams.

Subscriber Data Migration

Execute subscriber data migration from legacy platforms to modern SDM architectures. Perform migration preparation, execution, validation, and reconciliation. Prepare and execute migration MOPs and rollback procedures. Support subscriber profile migration and synchronization. Validate migrated data and troubleshoot migration failures.



Perform post‑migration service validation and customer acceptance activities. Testing &

• Acceptance Prepare and execute Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP). Perform functional, integration, regression, migration, and end‑to‑end testing. Validate SDM functionality and Core Network integration. Troubleshoot defects identified during testing and deployment. Maintain test results, evidence, logs, and technical findings. Support customer acceptance and technical sign‑off. Cloud, Virtualization &

• Infrastructure Deploy and support SDM/Core Network functions in bare‑metal, virtualized, and cloud‑native environments. Work with VNF/CNF deployments. Hands‑on exposure to OpenStack, Kubernetes, and VMware. Support deployment, configuration, scaling, networking, connectivity, and troubleshooting. Work with infrastructure/cloud teams to resolve platform‑related issues. Troubleshooting &

• Technical Support Troubleshoot SDM, subscriber database, signalling, integration, deployment, and configuration issues. Analyze logs, alarms, traces, configurations, and system behaviour. Perform technical root‑cause analysis and corrective actions. Support critical deployment, migration, integration, and production incidents. Coordinate with Nokia/vendor TAC, engineering, and R&D; teams for complex issues. Documentation &

• Handover Prepare deployment, integration, testing, migration, and commissioning documentation. Maintain MOPs, ATPs, configuration documents, test reports, migration reports, and as‑built documentation. Provide technical knowledge transfer to operations/support teams. Support operational handover after successful deployment and acceptance.

Job Requirements Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in EEE, ETE, CSE, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline.

Experience Requirements 7+ years of hands‑on experience in Telecom Core Network / SDM Engineering. Strong practical experience in SDM deployment, configuration, integration, testing, migration, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Hands‑on experience with HLR, HSS, UDM, AUSF, One‑NDS, SDL, or equivalent SDM platforms.

Experience working with telecom operators, OEMs, or managed service environments.

Experience executing MOP and ATP activities.

Experience supporting large‑scale telecom deployment, integration, or migration projects.

Qualifications Strong experience with Nokia SDM/Core Network products. Hands‑on experience with Nokia One‑NDS and SDL. Live telecom experience with HLR/HSS/UDM/AUSF.

Experience with 5G Core and cloud‑native network functions. Kubernetes‑based telecom deployment experience. Knowledge of Linux/Unix and basic scripting is an advantage. Nokia or relevant telecom vendor certification is an advantage.

Asia‑Pacific telecom project experience is preferred. Strong hands‑on engineering and troubleshooting capability. Strong understanding of SDM and subscriber data architecture. Ability to independently execute complex deployments and integrations.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work under pressure during deployment and migration windows. Strong attention to configuration and implementation details. Good communication and technical documentation skills.

Ability to work effectively with customers, vendors, and engineering teams. Willingness to travel regionally as required.

Candidates with 7+ years of hands‑on SDM/Core Network engineering experience are encouraged to apply. Direct experience with HLR, HSS, UDM, AUSF, One‑NDS, SDL, or equivalent SDM products is strongly preferred. Candidates must be comfortable performing hands‑on deployment, configuration, integration, testing, migration, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
