MILL5 is looking for a QA / Test Engineer to ensure the quality, security, reliability, and production readiness of a cloud-based application and its integrations.

This role combines test planning and execution with automated testing, API and integration testing, regression coverage, database validation, defect investigation, and documented verification evidence.

You will work closely with developers, DevOps engineers, Business Analysts, data professionals, and business stakeholders throughout the complete software delivery lifecycle.

Key responsibilities:

- Translate requirements and acceptance criteria into test strategies, test plans, test cases, and traceable verification activities.
- Review requirements to identify ambiguities, quality risks, dependencies, edge cases, and test-coverage needs.
- Develop and maintain automated, integration, regression, API, system, and end-to-end tests.
- Validate workflows across frontend applications, backend services, APIs, databases, and event-driven integrations.
- Perform positive-path and negative-path testing, including malformed or incomplete payloads, validation errors, boundary conditions, and edge cases.
- Test authentication, authorization, validations, integrations, and error-handling behavior.
- Use SQL and other validation methods to verify data accuracy and integrity.
- Support performance and security-testing activities and collaborate on the remediation of findings.
- Investigate defects, document reproducible steps, assess their impact, and work with developers to verify fixes.
- Maintain test data, test environments, and repeatable testing processes.
- Produce clear test evidence and release-verification documentation.




- Support User Acceptance Testing and release-readiness activities.
- Contribute to requirements traceability, design reviews, quality controls, and regression assurance.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD workflows where applicable.
- Communicate quality status, coverage gaps, release risks, and unresolved defects clearly.

Required skills and experience:

- Professional experience in software QA or Test Engineering for web applications and APIs.
- Experience with test design, planning, execution, and documentation.
- Experience with functional, integration, regression, API, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience with API-testing tools such as Postman or equivalent.
- Experience with test-automation frameworks and scripting.
- Understanding of databases, SQL, and data validation.
- Experience documenting, prioritizing, and tracking defects.
- Understanding of acceptance criteria, coverage, requirements traceability, and release validation.
- Experience working within Agile software-development teams.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Advanced English communication skills.

- Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or equivalent automation tools.
- Performance-testing experience.

- Testing of Azure-based or cloud-hosted applications.
