Role Overview

We are seeking a fast, versatile, and tech-forward Digital Artist - Wall Art to join our creative development team. As a home décor brand specializing in high-volume wall art for major off-price and mass-market retail chains, we create retail-ready artwork that aligns with current interior design trends.

In this seat, you will combine strong traditional art fundamentals with advanced digital execution and cutting-edge generative AI workflows ( Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Stable Diffusion, DALL-E ).

Producing a consistent target of 400+ finished, high-resolution, print-ready images per month , you will translate creative briefs, mood boards, and trend research into coordinated art collections across diverse categories—ranging from abstract and botanical to landscape, coastal, and figurative styles.

Key Responsibilities

- High-Volume Production & Multi-Category Design
- Retail-Ready Asset Generation: Produce 400+ polished, retail-ready images per month across multiple art categories (Abstract, Botanical, Floral, Figurative, Landscape, Coastal, Animal, Fashion/Glam, Typography, and Vintage-inspired).
- Collection Coordination: Translate trend research, color palettes, and creative direction into cohesive art sets, pairs, and multi-piece series.
- Format & Colorway Adaptation: Adapt, scale, and recolor existing designs across different dimensions, orientations, and colorways tailored for specific retail buyers and price points.




- AI-Assisted Artistry & Digital Hybrid Workflows
- Advanced AI Prompting: Utilize generative AI platforms (Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Stable Diffusion, Leonardo, DALL-E) to rapidly explore concepts, maintaining stylistic consistency across multi-image series.
- Hybrid Digital Painting & Finishing: Combine AI-generated outputs with traditional drawing, digital painting, texture application, and photo manipulation in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator so final assets look hand-crafted, original, and refined.
- Upscaling & Image Enhancement: Perform AI upscaling, object removal, retouches, and file cleanup to ensure flawless image fidelity at large-format print sizes.
- Ethical AI Practice: Ensure all generated work complies with copyright guidelines—avoiding protected characters, trademarked brands, or living artists' signature styles.
- Print Prep, Workflow Management & Handoff
- Prepress & Print Prep: Prepare high-resolution, print-ready files (CMYK/RGB, precise color modes, DPI parameters, bleed) to exact manufacturing specifications.
- Project Tracking & Delivery: Organize, name, and archive files systematically in Google Drive while updating task assignments real-time in Wrike.
- Feedback Iteration: Incorporate creative direction and feedback quickly to meet tight production deadlines.





Required Skills & Qualifications

- Professional Experience: 3+ years as a digital artist, illustrator, or surface pattern designer (direct experience in home décor, wall art, or commercial consumer products strongly preferred).
- AI Image Generation Mastery: Hands-on professional experience using Midjourney or equivalent AI image platforms, with demonstrated ability to blend AI outputs with digital painting and manual touch-ups.
- Traditional Art Fundamentals: Strong foundation in color theory, composition, drawing, lighting, texture layering, and visual balance.
- Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Print Production Standards (Procreate and Illustrator proficiency is a strong plus).
- Production Speed & Volume: Proven ability to sustain high-volume output (400+ finished files monthly) without sacrificing aesthetic quality.
- Multi-Category Breadth: Diverse portfolio demonstrating mastery across at least 5 distinct art categories (e.g., abstract, botanical, figurative, landscape, coastal).
- Schedule Alignment & Communication: Fluent English communication with dedicated daily availability during US Eastern Time business hours (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM ET).

- Monthly Output Target: Consistently delivering 400+ approved, high-resolution, print-ready images per month on schedule.
- Prepress File Precision: 100% adherence to company print specs, resolution rules, and naming conventions with zero file handoff errors.
- Design Versatility & Style Consistency: Achieving high buyer acceptance rates across multi-piece collections and diverse art categories.
