We're looking for a highly driven Lead Data Engineer to become part of a high-performing agile team that supports a prominent investment management organization.

This position suits an experienced data professional who possesses strong expertise in modern data platforms, cloud technologies, and financial data integration.

The chosen candidate will serve as the voice of Data Engineering within a cross-functional squad, helping design, build, and deliver scalable data solutions that support trading platforms, reporting systems, and investment , build, and maintain scalable data integration and data warehousing solutions

Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, SMEs, and Engineers to analyze and refine business requirements

Translate user stories into robust technical solutions using modern cloud and data technologies

Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for processing financial and investment data

Build and maintain SQL-based database objects, including views, stored procedures, and functions

Establish and support data integration workflows across enterprise platforms

Contribute to solution architecture, technical design discussions, and implementation efforts

Uphold high standards of data quality, performance, security, and governance

Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and showcases

Present completed solutions and communicate their business value to stakeholders

Support the implementation of CI/CD processes and drive continuous improvement in deployment practices

Mentor team members and promote engineering best practices

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering,



or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in Data Engineering

Advanced proficiency in SQL, Snowflake, and Data Warehousing concepts and architectures

Practical experience with AWS cloud services

Strong Python skills for data processing and ETL development

Familiarity with source control systems such as Git

Hub or Bitbucket

Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team

English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence and reporting tools

Skills in API development and integration

Familiarity with investment, asset management, or financial services data

Experience supporting trading, reporting, accounting, or general ledger platforms

Exposure to AWS Glue, Athena, Lambda, S3, REST APIs, and Snap

Logic

Experience working within scaled Agile frameworks
