Position: Computational Genomics Expert AI
Type: Contractor Assignment
Compensation: $43 per hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: Full-time (40 hours/week), with 4 hours of PST overlap per day
Role Responsibilities
- Design challenging tasks in computational genomics and bioinformatics for AI evaluation.
- Create realistic tasks involving biological sequence and genomics datasets.
- Develop multi-step analyses using Python, command-line tools, and bioinformatics libraries.
- Create reference solutions, expected outputs, and objectively verifiable ground truths.
- Validate tasks for scientific correctness, reproducibility, and appropriate difficulty.
Requirements
- Ph.D., postdoctoral experience, or equivalent research experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, Computational Genetics, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong hands-on programming experience in Python.
- Experience analyzing biological sequence or genomics datasets.
- Comfortable working in Linux/command-line computational environments.
- Strong understanding of computational genomics and bioinformatics workflows.
