The Automation and Configuration Management (ACM) team develops and maintains a configuration platform that enables internal and external customers to manage Splunk Enterprise Cloud environments at scale. This team plays a critical role in supporting thousands of production customers across multiple cloud environments, including AWS, GCP, Azure, and GovCloud. The team is composed of skilled engineers focused on building resilient, scalable infrastructure with a collaborative and inclusive culture. Your Impact

Set the long-term technical direction for ACM’s configuration platform by defining architecture, technology investments, and build vs. buy tradeoffs to support thousands of customers.



Lead and deliver complex, high-impact projects spanning configuration delivery, disaster recovery, fleet management, and platform reliability. Establish standards for code quality, system design, observability, and operational excellence to raise the engineering bar. Mentor engineers across levels to accelerate their growth through code reviews, design feedback, pairing, and coaching. Own production reliability by providing technical judgment during major incidents and designing systems that reduce operational burden.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors + 8 years of related experience, or Masters + 6 years of related experience, or PhD + 3 years of related experience
- Experience in building and operating large-scale production systems with fluency in Go and/or Python.
- Applied experience designing resilient, scalable distributed systems in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or GovCloud.
