About the Position Pond is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our growing Electrical Engineering team in Bogotá, Colombia. Experience and Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology - 5+ years of professional electrical engineering experience - Working knowledge of IEEE standards, NFPA 70 (NEC), and other applicable industry codes - Familiarity with additional NFPA codes (e.g., NFPA 101, 497, 780) and IBC; MEP/building systems experience is a plus - Experience supporting electrical design for oil & gas facilities, renewable energy systems, utilities, industrial plants, and/or building systems (MEP) - Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, and applicable vendor software - Experience preparing electrical construction drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical narratives - Ability to collaborate effectively with Electrical CAD Designers and multidisciplinary engineering teams - Strong written and verbal English communication skills Electrical Design & Engineering - Support electrical design for oil & gas facilities (upstream, midstream, downstream), renewable energy systems (solar, battery storage), utility infrastructure, and industrial or commercial building systems - Develop low - and medium-voltage power distribution systems, grounding and bonding, lighting, motor control, standby/emergency power, and building electrical systems - Assist with hazardous area classification (as applicable) and compliant equipment selection and installation methods - Prepare electrical drawings, specifications, calculations,



and design narratives with oversight from senior engineers Analysis & Documentation - Perform electrical studies including load flow, short circuit, coordination, arc flash, voltage drop, and conductor sizing - Develop one-line diagrams, panel schedules, load lists, conduit and cable schedules, equipment layouts, and installation details Collaboration & Execution - Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across U.S. and Bogotá offices to ensure design alignment and project consistency - Participate in design reviews, technical coordination meetings, and internal quality reviews - Support communication with U.S.based engineers and project managers as needed Development & Growth - Provide redlines and technical input to Electrical CAD Designers - Support and mentor junior engineers and designers as appropriate - Continue developing technical expertise and familiarity with U.S. codes, standards, and design practices About Pond Pond is an award-winning, full-service architecture, engineering, planning, construction management, and environmental services firm providing professional solutions to clients throughout the U.S. and globally for nearly 60 years.
