Job Description

Bill.com is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to support ongoing enhancements and quality initiatives across its Spend & Expense and payments platforms.

This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and quality of customer-facing applications by developing automated testing frameworks, executing manual testing efforts, and partnering closely with engineers throughout the SDLC.This is a hands‑on role idóneo for someone who is equally comfortable writing automation code, performing exploratory testing, and influencing quality practices across agile teams.

Skills and Requirements

- 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering, QA Automation, or SDET roles
- Strong experience designing and building automated test frameworks from scratch
- Proficiency with one or more programming languages such as Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or C#
- Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or similar frameworks
- Experience testing REST APIs using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or automated API testing frameworks
- Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines,



and modern development practices
- Ability to perform both automation and hands‑on manual testing when needed
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with distributed teams
