NeoWork is hiring Medical Virtual Assistants to support U.S. healthcare practices with front-office and administrative work. You will help patients get scheduled, verified, and supported, so providers can focus on care.
NeoWork is a general staffing and operations partner that builds dedicated remote teams for fast-growing U.S. companies. Our teammates work directly inside our clients' teams and tools, while NeoWork takes care of recruiting, HR, benefits, and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and place patient calls for scheduling, reminders, and general inquiries
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits and support pre-authorization requests
- Process patient intake forms and update records in the EHR
- Coordinate referrals, follow-ups, and communication with providers
- Route clinical or billing questions to the right staff
- Handle all patient information in a HIPAA-compliant manner
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in a medical office, healthcare call center, or patient services role
- Excellent spoken and written English with a calm, professional phone manner
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Experience using EHR or practice management systems
- Strong organization and multitasking skills
- Availability to work U.S. business hours
- Based in Colombia, with a reliable home office setup and stable internet connection
Nice to Have
- Experience with insurance verification or prior authorizations
- Experience with systems such as AdvancedMD, athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks
- Fluency in Spanish
