iGRAVITY IS HIRING A SENIOR INVESTMENT ASSOCIATE – IMPACT VENTURES
THIS ROLE IS BASED IN BOGOTA, COLOMBIA
About iGravity - iGravity is a specialized impact investment management and advisory firm committed to building a more equitable and sustainable financial system. We design and manage blended finance solutions that support local enterprises, delivering strong financial returns and meaningful social and environmental impact for both institutional investors and philanthropic partners.
iGravity works with development organizations across the investment lifecycle from early-stage strategy and innovative finance design to the development of robust Impact Measurement & Management (IMM) systems.
On the investment side, we manage private debt strategies focused on emerging markets. Our portfolio includes direct debt investments in local SMEs, as well as investments in local funds and private notes, all guided by clearly defined impact lenses and return expectations.
As part of our mission to channel catalytic capital to high-impact enterprises, we manage various facilities (Balim Investments, Refugee Investment Facility and SECO Start-up Fund) on behalf of our partners and investors. These funds provide high-impact SMEs in emerging markets with debt financing.
To support our scaling strategy and geographical expansion into new markets, we are seeking several dynamic and experienced investment professionals to join our team as Senior Investment Associates.
Your role
- We are looking for a Senior Investment Associate with a strong track record in debt financing, specifically lending to SMEs, financial intermediaries, or similar borrowers across emerging markets. The role is based within iGravity's Impact Ventures team,
which leads investment activity across the firm's direct investments mandates.
- We work across a range of debt instruments and borrower types, including SMEs, high-growth ventures, financial intermediaries, and SME platforms, with a focus on supporting scalable, high-impact business models.
- Candidates should be comfortable leading deals independently, preparing IC-ready analysis, and managing portfolio relationships through to exit or resolution.
- Experience with secured debt financing instruments using different types of collaterals is a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pipeline development and origination: Identify and qualify new lending opportunities across assigned mandate geographies (starting in Colombia and over time expanding to other markets in the region) through direct outreach to SMEs, high-growth ventures, financial intermediaries, and ecosystem partners (accelerators, funds, networks); build and maintain a robust pipeline from sourcing to IC submission; represent iGravity in local investment ecosystems.
- Research, analysis and due diligence: Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on prospective portfolio companies including financial statement analysis, business plan review, and synthesize findings across financial, operational, commercial, and impact dimensions into clear investment recommendations.
- Structuring and execution:
Lead the structuring of debt facilities (term loans, working capital facilities, revenue-based or hybrid instruments) tailored to SME and high-growth business models; design appropriate covenant packages and risk mitigants; manage end-to-end execution from term sheet to disbursement, coordinating with legal counsel. Exposure to structured or asset-backed lending solutions is a plus.
- Investment memoranda and IC presentation: Lead the drafting of investment memorandums covering investee strategy, financial model outputs, scenario analysis, and impact assessment; present findings and recommendations to Investment Committees, clearly articulating the credit thesis, key risks, mitigants, and finance structure rationale.
- Portfolio monitoring and reporting: Own ongoing monitoring of assigned borrowers including covenant tracking, financial and impact performance review, monitoring visits, and early warning escalation; contribute to investor reporting and present watchlist cases to the Risk Committee.
Who you are
We are looking for an independent team player with proven experience in impact investing and private credit. Essential experience and qualifications:
- At least 5 years of prior experience in SME or growth-stage companies lending, credit analysis, or investment roles focused on debt products in Latin America or impact investing contexts.
- Proven credit assessment skills: loan structuring, covenant design, collateral evaluation, and cash flow- based underwriting for SMEs.
- Experience with structured lending, asset-backed financing, or trade-related financing instruments (preferred).
- Experience building financial models focused on debt
