ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR - BOGOTÁ

Prestigious multinational company in the Telecommunications sector, offering solid corporate platform and professional development opportunities, is looking for an Accounting Supervisor in Bogota.

Fixed-term contract (1 year).

Functions:

- Oversee the full-cycle accounting work for the company, supervise month-end and year-end closing, review accounting entries, ensure compliance with Colombian Public Accounting standards and group local financial policies.
- Assign, supervise and review work deliverables of Accounting Assistant and Receivable and Invoicing Analyst; provide professional guidance, track task progress and resolve complex and non-routine local accounting issues raised by team members.
- Take overall charge of accounts receivable, invoicing and accounting supporting-document filing management. Verify traceability of accounting vouchers, approve account-reconciliation adjustments and follow up long-term outstanding aged items.
- Lead monthly bank reconciliation, review final reconciliation reports, investigate and resolve persistent book-bank discrepancies.




- Supervise documentary procedures for foreign-currency purchases and payments, guarantee accurate and complete booking for the company's foreign-currency transactions.
- Monitor invoicing updates, review billing-related reports submitted by the team, identify revenue & receivable risks and drive rectification actions.
- Cooperate with local external auditors, Colombian tax service providers and headquarters finance; provide accounting data and supporting documents for local audit, tax declaration and group-required financial reporting for the company, and implement audit adjustments for local books.
- Establish and optimize Colombia-local accounting management rules and internal-control workflows; sort out accounting procedures, propose process-improvement suggestions, standardize accounting-document management and mitigate local accounting risks.
- Support local business-finance collaboration: participate in financial review of key local projects, give accounting professional opinions on local business models and contract terms to support front-line operation.
