Detailed Job Description

As an IMS / iSBC Core Expert supporting centr-link on long-term telecommunications initiatives across Europe, you will take full operational, architectural, and tactical ownership of Nokia Voice Core deployments, session border controller configuration, and network migration workflows. Your day-to-day responsibilities include designing IMS core elements, configuring iSBC/eSBC and SIP trunking protocols, executing multi-vendor integration, and coordinating complex stakeholder delivery schedules. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering squads, project managers, and telecommunications operators to ensure rapid deployment and robust network performance. Key Responsibilities

- Architect, deploy, configure,



and maintain Nokia IMS and Voice Core solutions across large-scale European telecommunications networks.
- Design and optimize iSBC, eSBC, and SIP trunking architectures to secure media paths and ensure interoperability.
- Execute complex network migration, system integration, and multi-vendor core modernization initiatives.
- Provide expert-level project coordination, stakeholder management, and technical reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct rigorous troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and performance tuning for signaling and media routing anomalies.
- Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional engineering squads, network operations centers, and client leadership teams.
- Ensure strict adherence to telecommunications regulatory standards, security policies, and carrier-grade uptime SLA targets.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation including high-level designs, migration runbooks, and configuration baselines.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive professional experience in telecommunications core network engineering and voice architecture.
- Strong, demonstrable hands-on professional expertise in Nokia IMS and Voice Core design, deployment, and operations.




- Comprehensive working knowledge and practical proficiency in iSBC/eSBC configuration, session border control, and SIP trunking.
- Deep practical experience executing complex network migrations, multi-vendor integrations, and core network upgrades.
- Solid practical experience in technical project coordination, stakeholder management, and cross-functional delivery.
- Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, debugging, and communication capabilities in fast-paced operational environments.
- Mandatory legal work authorization and citizenship granting the right to live and work in the European Union.

Nice-to-Have Skills

- Professional vendor certifications such as Nokia Certified Telecommunications Professional or Cisco CCIE Collaboration.
- Prior professional working experience with major Tier-1 mobile network operators (MNOs) across European markets.
- Hands-on familiarity with cloud-native core architectures, containerized network functions (CNFs), and Kubernetes environments.
- Experience utilizing automated testing tools for SIP signaling, voice quality measurement, and protocol analysis.
- Exposure to agile project management methodologies and enterprise IT service management ticketing platforms (ServiceNow, Jira).
