About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer I, Front End to join the product development team behind the client's Insider Risk Management product. You will build features in the product's web application that help security teams protect corporate data and reduce insider risk. You will implement user interfaces in React and TypeScript, consume APIs built by backend teammates and keep the user experience consistent and high quality, working with UX, Product Management, Information Experience and other development teams.

This is an AI-first engineering organization: teams use AI-powered tools across coding, testing, documentation and operations, and look for engineers who champion their adoption and help establish new ways of working.

What you'll do

- Design and implement frontend code, independently and with teammates, with supportability, testability and a consistent user experience in mind.
- Write unit,



integration and system tests for your team's UI code.
- Test, debug and troubleshoot across the web stack.
- Partner with backend engineers to ship end-to-end features.
- Help with production issues and escalated customer questions for the web application.
- Document your code and review code and design documents from others.
- Take part in story mapping, design discussions and code reviews, asking questions, contributing and accepting feedback.
- Contribute to process improvements within engineering.
- Learn new things and share them with your team.
- Collaborate with product owners, UI/UX designers, QA analysts, technical writers, backend engineers and customer champions.

Requirements

- 1-2 years of professional software engineering experience, focused on frontend development.
- React and TypeScript fundamentals: components, props, hooks, etc.
- Modern HTML and CSS techniques.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and integrating client-side applications with backend services.
- Experience turning designs and mockups into functional, responsive user interfaces.
- Experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Cypress or Playwright.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment concepts.
- Experience with Agile or lean development processes.
- Comfortable owning deliverables as part of a team, offering and asking for help when needed.
- Comfortable working with non-technical colleagues.
- Passion for building interfaces that work well for users.
- Able to explain technical ideas to peers in writing and verbally, in English.
