Freelance Consultant – Market Development Support (Central America)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a locally based freelance consultant in Boliviato support a market development assessment in Central America. The consultant will play a key role in stakeholder outreach, industry mapping, and facilitating connections with relevant market participants.

This assignment is adecuado for professionals with strong networks in agriculture, food, retail, distribution, trade, or broader supply chain sectors and experience engaging industry stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and map key stakeholders across relevant supply chains and market channels in Bolivia.
- Develop and maintain a contact database of industry participants, associations, distributors, retailers, and other relevant organizations.
- Facilitate introductions between stakeholders and the project team.
- Support outreach efforts and encourage participation in interviews, surveys, or consultations.
- Coordinate communications and scheduling with local contacts.
- Provide local market insights and context when relevant.




- Track stakeholder engagement activities and provide periodic updates.

Qualifications

- Based in Bolivia with strong local professional networks.
- Experience in market development, business development, agriculture, trade, supply chain, market research, or related fields.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working with private sector organizations, industry associations, government agencies, or development programs is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholder relationships.
- Professional proficiency in English required.

Preferred Experience

- Knowledge of agricultural value chains, food distribution, imports/exports, or consumer goods markets.
- Previous experience supporting market assessments, research projects, consulting engagements, or development initiatives.
- Familiarity with stakeholder mapping and outreach activities.
