Overview

Join our interpreting team as a Spanish-speaking interpreter. We train you to build the skills needed to support clear communication between Spanish- and English-speaking people. You’ll listen carefully, convey meaning accurately, and help people understand one another across language and cultural differences. This role calls for strong language ability, sound judgment, and a commitment to professional ethics.

Responsibilities

- Provide Spanish-English interpretation, including over-the-phone interpretation, using consecutive interpretation as appropriate.
- Listen to speakers, convey their meaning accurately, and maintain a neutral, professional manner.
- Support conversations in settings that may include educational interpretation.
- Apply cultural competency and protect the confidentiality of each conversation.

Qualifications

- Strong Spanish and English proficiency; bilingual or multilingual ability is welcome.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to listen closely and remain composed during conversations.
- Commitment to professional ethics, accuracy, and respectful communication across cultures.
- Interest or experience in interpretation, translation, linguistics, or foreign language work is helpful; training is provided.

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
