Welcome to Devlane! We are a dynamic software development company with a strong presence across Latin America. Currently, we specialize in offering staff augmentation services to clients worldwide, with a particular focus on North America.

Joining our team offers you the opportunity to shine and make a significant impact on the projects you work on. Many of our clients are modern small to medium-sized businesses experiencing rapid growth, and they're eager to add core members like you to their teams. This environment ensures you'll stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends.

At Devlane, our values are straightforward: we foster a collaborative environment and prioritize building long-lasting relationships where you can develop your skills as a software engineer and learn from your peers.

What's the role about?

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will serve as the core backend specialist for a sustainable apparel and retail brand, taking full ownership of backend architecture, internal tooling, and critical third-party integrations. You will work closely with a small, collaborative engineering team to ensure the reliability and performance of e-commerce, retail, and logistics systems—particularly across a Shopify-centric ecosystem during high-traffic periods. From architecting robust API connections to proactively troubleshooting and maintaining platform stability, you will leverage strong engineering fundamentals to deliver immediate,

high-visibility impact across the entire operational pipeline.

What do we require from you?

- 6+ years of solid and proven experience as a software engineer, with a strong focus on backend development.

- Strong proficiency and experience in Ruby on Rails, OR equivalent deep experience in Python using frameworks like Flask or Django.

- Hands-on experience working with third-party API integrations and Shopify APIs.

- Solid background working with standard databases such as MySQL.

- Familiarity with standard frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to maintain and adjust internal tools, without needing to be a frontend expert.

- Strong analytical capacity and debugging skills to proactively solve technical problems and collaborate on solutions via shared communication channels.

- Strong technical fundamentals with a low reliance on Artificial Intelligence tools; AI should be used strictly to enhance development velocity, not as a dependency to operate

Some of our Perks:

- Salary in USD.

- 100% Remote from Home.

- 25 days of Paid Time Off per year.

- 8-hour workday, with versátil hours.

- Welcome kit from the brand.
