Senior Developer – APIs & AI Integrations (Bilingual English/Spanish)

About the Role

We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Developer specializing in APIs, AI integrations, and workflow automation to join our growing technology team in Cali, Colombia.

In this role, you will work directly with our CTO and U.S.-based team to build integrations, develop AI-powered solutions, and automate business processes across our healthcare operations. You will play a key role in connecting multiple platforms, improving operational efficiency, and transforming business needs into scalable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- API Development & Integration: Design, develop, and maintain APIs and integrations that connect multiple platforms, including Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Electronic Visit Verification (EVV), billing systems, scheduling tools, payer portals, and internal middleware.
- AI Implementation: Integrate AI tools and large language models (LLMs), including OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and similar platforms, into business workflows and internal applications.
- Workflow Automation: Identify repetitive manual processes and develop automated solutions that improve productivity, accuracy, and operational efficiency for administrative and clinical teams.
- Technical Collaboration: Work closely with the CTO and technology team to understand business requirements, evaluate technical approaches, and deliver reliable solutions.
- System Reliability: Troubleshoot integrations, monitor performance,



resolve technical issues, and ensure systems communicate effectively.
- Data Security: Apply secure coding practices and appropriate data protection measures when handling sensitive business and healthcare information.
- Project Ownership: Take responsibility for technical projects from planning and development through testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with developments in AI, APIs, automation, and software engineering to identify opportunities for innovation.

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of professional software development experience, with demonstrated ownership of projects and delivery of production-ready solutions.
- Strong hands-on experience developing and integrating REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party platforms.
- Practical experience building applications, integrations, or workflows using AI tools and large language models (LLMs).
- Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/Node.js.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
- Understanding of data security, secure software development, and the responsible handling of sensitive information.
- Strong professional English and Spanish proficiency, with the ability to communicate effectively with U.S.-based colleagues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into practical technical solutions.
- A self-starter mindset, with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and move projects forward in a dynamic environment.
- Availability to work on-site in Cali, Colombia,



Monday through Friday.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in healthcare technology, healthcare IT, or software integrations involving sensitive patient information.
- Familiarity with healthcare platforms and workflows involving EMR/EHR, EVV, medical billing, scheduling, or payer systems.
- Experience with AI-powered automation, LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or AI agents.
- Knowledge of middleware architecture, system interoperability, and scalable integration design.
- Experience working with databases, version control systems such as Git, and software deployment workflows.
