What You'll Do
As a Ruvimo Geography Tutor, you will:
• Conduct engaging 1:1 online Geography sessions with middle and high school students in the US.
• Help students understand geographical concepts through real-world examples and current events.
• Teach students to interpret maps, graphs, charts, diagrams and geographic data.
• Develop students' ability to identify patterns, relationships, trends and spatial connections.
• Help students understand the relationship between people, places and the physical environment.
• Encourage students to analyze why geographical patterns occur rather than simply memorize facts.
• Support students with school assignments, projects, assessments and exam preparation.
• Adapt lessons according to the student's grade level, curriculum and learning gaps.




• Provide clear, constructive feedback and track student progress.
• Create an engaging environment where students are encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas and think critically. Who We're Looking ForYou could be a great fit if you:
• Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geography, Environmental Studies, Geology, Social Sciences, Education or a related discipline.
• Have prior experience teaching or tutoring middle school or high school Geography.
• Have strong conceptual knowledge across physical and human geography.
• Can confidently explain geographical concepts using real-world examples.
• Are comfortable interpreting maps, graphs, charts and geographic data.
• Have excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Can encourage students to think analytically rather than rely on memorization.
• Have experience with the US curriculum/AP Human Geography or similar academic frameworks, or are willing to learn.
• Are confident using technology and conducting engaging online classes.
• Have a stable internet connection and a professional setup for online teaching.
