Compensation: $1,800 – $2,500 USD/month ($21,600 – $30,000 USD/year) + performance-based bonuses, full-time long-term contractor

The Role

We are hiring a long-term Tech Lead for a US client. You will take ownership of their software product, which serves 10 client companies. The core stack is C#/.NET and SQL Server with legacy ASP.NET, plus AWS serverless services (Lambda), Power BI reporting, Python, JavaScript frameworks, and some PHP/WordPress sites. Most critical issues come from poorly structured queries, so advanced SQL Server and data optimization skills are key.

This role is as much about technical judgment as about code. You will decide when something should be refactored and when it should be kept as legacy, and you will explain those trade-offs clearly to the US client. Clients often need reports ASAP, so you will prioritize under pressure and make sure urgent deliverables get done.

You will have 2 weeks of onboarding, and starting in week 3 you will take on large tickets end to end.

What You Will Do

- Own the product technically: architecture, priorities, and code quality
- Decide what to refactor and what to keep as legacy, and communicate the reasoning clearly
- Diagnose and fix slow or poorly structured SQL Server queries, execution plans, and indexes, improving data models and performance




- Deliver urgent reports and data requests across the product's 10 client companies
- Build and maintain AWS Lambda functions and data pipelines
- Analyze data and build/support Power BI reports
- Work across Python scripts, JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, or Node), and WordPress/PHP sites when needed
- Keep the US client updated with clear, precise, and honest communication during US business hours

What We Are Looking For

- 7+ years of hands-on experience with C#/.NET and SQL Server, with advanced query optimization and data analysis skills
- Hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda), Python, and at least one JavaScript framework (React, Angular, Vue, or Node)
- Experience with Power BI and with WordPress/PHP
- Strong critical thinking and ability to make and defend architectural decisions
- Proven ability to prioritize multiple requests under pressure and finish urgent work
- Experience leading software engineers
- Fluent English (C1+ spoken and written), working directly with US stakeholders every day during US business hours
- Founder/ownership mindset: you learn fast, solve what is urgent, and treat the product as your own
