About the role

Key responsibilities

- Maintain the general ledger and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under NIIF para PYMES (IFRS for SMEs).
- Compile and submit the company's regulatory filings to government authorities, including financial statements to the Superintendencia de Sociedades, statistical reports to DANE, and foreign-exchange reporting to the Banco de la República (Central Bank of Colombia).
- Manage cost accounting for manufacturing: track raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods inventory; calculate cost of goods sold (COGS) and unit production costs.
- Support goods-movement accounting and reporting tied to the free zone and the reconciliation of physical inventory with customs and accounting records.
- Coordinate with the Usuario Operador and the DIAN on free-zone reporting and compliance obligations.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including supplier and customer reconciliations.
- Prepare and file tax obligations with the DIAN and local municipal: VAT (IVA), withholding tax (retención en la Fuente), ICA (Industry and Commerce Tax), the annual income tax return and exogenous information reports.
- Support payroll (nómina), including social security (seguridad social),



parafiscales (SENA, ICBF, Caja de Compensación), and electronic payroll reporting.
- Support issuing and managing electronic invoicing (facturación electrónica).
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and manage cash-flow records.
- Prepare information for external auditors and the Revisor Fiscal, if applicable.
- Prepare monthly financial information for the Group Headquarters.

Required qualifications

- Degree in Accounting (Contaduría Pública) with a valid Tarjeta Competente issued by the Junta Central de Contadores.
- 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience with the Colombian Zona Franca regime (régimen de zonas francas): is strongly preferred.
- Solid knowledge of Colombian tax law and DIAN procedures.
- Working knowledge of NIIF para PYMES.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., [Siigo / World Office / SAP / your system]) and Microsoft Excel.

Preferred qualifications

- Experience with cost accounting and inventory management in a production setting.
- Familiarity with customs procedures, FMM reporting, and coordination with a Usuario Operador.
- Familiarity with electronic invoicing and electronic payroll platforms.
