# Senior Node.js Backend EngineerRemoteFull TimeTECH**Role Summary:**We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Node.js Backend Engineer to lead backend development for JeroidPay, building secure, scalable, and high-performance APIs and services that support our fintech and digital payment operations.**Key Responsibilities*** Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js.* Build and manage secure RESTful APIs and system integrations.* Develop and optimise database structures, queries, and application performance.* Implement robust authentication, authorisation, and security controls.* Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance under high transaction volumes.* Integrate third-party payment services and other fintech solutions.* Lead backend technical decisions, code reviews, and engineering best practices.* Troubleshoot complex production issues and improve system reliability.* Collaborate with product, frontend,



and other engineering teams to deliver business requirements.* Mentor other engineers and contribute to technical documentation.**Requirements*** Extensive professional experience in backend development with Node.js.* Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.* Experience building and maintaining production-grade APIs and distributed systems.* Strong knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases.* Experience with authentication, API security, testing, and performance optimisation.* Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, version control, and deployment workflows.* Experience in fintech, payment systems, or other transaction-heavy platforms is an advantage.* Proven ability to make sound architectural decisions and lead technical delivery. #J-18808-Ljbffr
