We’re hiring: Software Engineer I, Full Stack (Front End Emphasis)

The company is a integral cybersecurity leader that helps organizations protect their data and people from evolving threats. We are looking for a Software Engineer I to join the product development team behind the Risk Management product.

The role

You will work as a full stack engineer with a focus on the front end of the Incydr web application. You will build user interfaces in React and TypeScript and contribute to the backend services and APIs (Kotlin/Java on AWS) that power them. Mimecast is an AI-first engineering organization, so you will use AI-powered tools daily across coding, testing, documentation and operations.

What you’ll do

- Build features end to end, from UI to backend services and APIs, starting with well-scoped tasks and growing into owning small features
- Write unit, integration and system tests across frontend and backend
- Debug and troubleshoot across the full Incydr web stack
- Take part in code reviews, design discussions, story mapping and demos
- Contribute to infrastructure-as-code, deployments and the team’s on-call rotation
- Collaborate with Product, UX,



QA, technical writers and customer-facing teams

What you’ll bring

- 1–2 years of professional software engineering experience, full stack with a frontend emphasis
- Solid React and TypeScript fundamentals (components, props, hooks)
- Modern HTML and CSS, and experience turning designs into responsive interfaces
- Experience with frontend testing frameworks (Cypress, Playwright or similar)
- Familiarity with REST APIs and integrating front ends with backend services
- Familiarity with CI/CD and agile development
- Advanced English (B2+), written and spoken: you’ll work daily with U.S.-based teams

Nice to have

- Kotlin or Java, PostgreSQL or Elasticsearch
- Microservices or multi-tier systems
- Design systems and web performance experience
- Experience championing AI tools in your workflow
