Description A well-established international financial services group is seeking an experienced Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the establishment, operations, and growth of its business in Colombia. This role combines strategic leadership, regulatory governance, commercial development, and overall business management, ensuring the successful expansion and sustainable growth of the organization within the Colombian market. Responsibilities
- Lead the establishment and operational setup of the business in Colombia, including the management of local entity and branch activities.
- Develop and execute business strategies to drive market expansion, client acquisition, revenue growth, and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Colombian financial regulations, including those issued by the Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia (SFC), Autorregulador del Mercado de Valores (AMV), Bolsa de Valores de Colombia (BVC), and other relevant regulatory authorities.
- Oversee brokerage and financial services operations, including trading activities, order execution, settlement processes, client onboarding, and operational controls.
- Maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities, financial institutions, banking partners, liquidity providers, and key market participants.
- Oversee AML/KYC, compliance monitoring, risk management, internal controls, and regulatory reporting in coordination with relevant departments.
- Monitor the progress of quarterly sales targets in collaboration with the CBDO, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and growth plans.




- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high-quality service and timely resolution of client requests and escalations.
- Build, manage, and develop the local team, ensuring alignment with Group policies, culture, standards, and business objectives.
- Identify commercial opportunities across retail, professional, institutional, and corporate client segments.
- Promote the company's products and services to prospective clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Group management and integral departments to ensure the successful implementation of local business initiatives and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor business performance, operational efficiency, sales targets, and key performance indicators.
- Oversee daily administrative and operational activities, ensuring efficient processes and adherence to company standards.
- Prepare and present regular business performance reports, operational updates, market insights, and strategic recommendations to Group management.
- Assume full P&L; responsibility and ensure sustainable business growth and profitability. Qualifications and Experience




- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Law, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications would be an advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience within financial services, capital markets, brokerage, fintech, banking, or related industries.
- Proven senior leadership experience as CEO, Country Manager, General Manager, Executive Director, COO, or a similar executive role.
- Strong preference for experience within Colombian financial institutions, brokerage firms, securities firms, banks, fintech companies, or regulated financial entities.
- In-depth knowledge of the Colombian financial and regulatory environment, including SFC, AMV, BVC, AML, and financial services compliance requirements.
- Experience establishing, managing, or expanding regulated financial services operations in Colombia.
- Strong understanding of brokerage operations, trading products, client onboarding, regulatory compliance, and operational risk management.
- Proven experience in commercial development, business expansion, revenue generation, P&L; management, and team leadership.
- Strong analytical thinking, strategic decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in Spanish and strong professional English communication skills.
- Established network within the Colombian financial services and capital markets industry is highly desirable.
