About the Role

RVStaffing is seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to help ensure the functionality, stability, and reliability of a web-based platform. This role will focus on manual testing, regression testing, API validation, defect investigation, and cross-browser compatibility.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in software testing, understands how to identify and document defects effectively, and enjoys working closely with developers and product teams to deliver high-quality software.

What You'll Do

- Test Planning & Execution: Design and execute manual test cases for new features, functional requirements, and regression testing.
- Functional & Integration Testing: Validate application functionality, integrations, and expected system behavior.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, and track bugs with clear reproduction steps, expected versus vigente results, and severity levels.
- API Testing: Perform manual and/or automated API testing to verify backend services and integrations.
- Cross-Browser & Device Testing: Ensure consistent application performance and functionality across browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, and across relevant devices.
- Database Validation: Use basic database queries to validate data and investigate application defects.
- Automation Support: Maintain or contribute to automated test scripts using frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, or pytest.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with developers to troubleshoot issues and with product stakeholders to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Process Improvement:



Identify gaps in test coverage and recommend improvements to testing workflows and QA practices.

What You'll Bring to the Team
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies, test case design, and defect lifecycle management.
- Experience with functional, regression, integration, and cross-browser testing.
- Proficiency with bug-tracking and test-management tools such as Jira and TestRail.
- Basic database skills for data validation and defect investigation, including SQL, MongoDB, and Databricks.
- Familiarity with Git and automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with at least one automation framework, such as Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, or pytest.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
