ARCHITECTURAL FINISHING WORKS SUPERVISOR

Architect / Civil Engineer

About the Position

We are seeking a qualified Architect or Civil Engineer to join our team for a U.S. Government construction project in Bogotá, Colombia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating architectural finishing works, ensuring that all activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and project schedule requirements.

The role requires a proactive, site-oriented professional capable of managing daily field operations, coordinating construction teams, monitoring workmanship and progress, and supporting phased completion and handover of project areas.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, coordinate, and supervise the execution of architectural finishing works, including drywall, suspended ceilings, floor and wall finishes, painting, millwork, doors, frames, and other related architectural installations.
- Ensure that construction activities comply with approved shop drawings, technical specifications, material submittals, mock-ups, and applicable quality standards.
- Coordinate architectural works with mechanical, electrical, fire protection, security, and other specialized building systems.
- Identify discrepancies between design documents and presente site conditions, resolve construction-related issues, and support the preparation and follow-up of Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Supervise field teams, monitor workmanship, productivity, and construction progress, and ensure compliance with daily and weekly production targets.
- Prepare and maintain site progress reports, quantity take-offs, and relevant construction records.
- Ensure the protection of completed works; prepare and manage punch lists, monitor corrective actions, and verify the satisfactory closure of outstanding items.
- Coordinate with relevant project teams to support phased area handovers,



as-built verification, and project closeout documentation.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant construction experience, with direct involvement in the supervision and coordination of architectural finishing works.
- Strong practical knowledge of finishing trades, construction details, building materials, and quality control procedures.
- Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate architectural drawings, technical specifications, and construction schedules.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate field teams and multiple construction activities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, with experience in construction reporting and quantity take-offs.
- Good command of written and spoken English, sufficient for effective communication in a professional working environment.
- Strong planning, organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented, results-driven, proactive, and capable of taking responsibility while adapting to shift work when required.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience on U.S. Government construction projects, embassy or consular facilities, high-security buildings, or renovation projects in occupied facilities.
- Experience in phased construction and handover, quality inspections, punch-list management, and project closeout activities.
- Experience coordinating architectural finishing works with mechanical, electrical, and other technical disciplines.
- Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes, preferably with experience using Revit, Navisworks, or similar software for model review, interdisciplinary coordination, and clash detection.

Due to the nature of the project, candidates must be able to satisfy applicable site-access, identity verification, background screening, and security clearance requirements. Employment and commencement of site duties will be subject to the successful completion of the required project and site-access approval procedures.
