Your role

We are looking for a Senior Investment Associate with a strong track record in debt financing to SMEs, financial intermediaries, or similar borrowers in emerging markets. The role sits within iGravity’s Impact Ventures team, which leads the firm’s direct investment mandates across debt instruments and borrower types (SMEs, high-growth ventures, financial intermediaries, SME platforms), focused on scalable, high-impact business models.

Candidates should be comfortable leading deals independently, preparing IC-ready analysis, and managing portfolio relationships through to exit or resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

- Origination: Identify and qualify lending opportunities in mandate geographies (starting in Colombia, expanding regionally) through direct outreach to SMEs, ventures, intermediaries, and ecosystem partners; build a pipeline from sourcing to IC submission; represent iGravity locally.
- Due diligence: Analyze prospective companies (financial statements, business plans) and synthesize financial, operational, commercial, and impact findings into clear investment recommendations.
- Structuring and execution: Structure debt facilities (term loans, working capital,



revenue-based or hybrid instruments) for SME and high-growth models; design covenants and risk mitigants; manage execution from term sheet to disbursement with legal counsel. Structured or asset-backed lending exposure is a plus.
- Investment memoranda and IC: Draft memoranda covering strategy, financial model outputs, scenario analysis, and impact; present to Investment Committees, articulating the credit thesis, risks, mitigants, and structure rationale.
- Portfolio monitoring: Monitor assigned borrowers (covenants, financial and impact performance, site visits, early warnings); contribute to investor reporting and present watchlist cases to the Risk Committee.

Who you are

- 5+ years in SME or growth-stage lending, credit analysis, or debt-focused investment roles in Latin America or impact investing.
- Lender/investor-side private debt experience (not advisory or equity).
- Closed debt transactions end to end: origination, structuring, closing, monitoring.
- Experience lending to SMEs and startups, with comfort in dynamic credit risk and smaller tickets.
- Strong credit assessment: loan structuring, covenant design, collateral evaluation, cash-flow underwriting.
- Preferred: structured lending, asset-backed, or trade finance experience.
- Financial modeling of debt servicing capacity; drafting IC memoranda.
- Exposure to impact measurement and management (IMM) frameworks.
- Bachelor’s in business, finance, economics, or international development; CPA/ACCA or CFA a plus.
