Our environmental team in Quebec works on a variety of acoustics mandates. These studies range from forward-looking assessments to assessments of existing facilities. The projects carried out are, in particular; the assessment of the noise environment, the assessment of the level of noise disturbance and impacts, the sound modelling of activities in the construction and operation phase, the evaluation of mitigation measures, the production of noise correction programmes, the production of sound monitoring programmes, the performance of sound monitoring, participation in the production of plans and specifications, support for the implementation of sound corrections, underwater acoustics.

Architectural study such as room acoustics, soundproofing, intelligibility, noise and mechanical vibration control.

The sectors of activity are varied: mining, municipal, port, industrial, energy, public utilities, transportation and others.

Given the current growth within the Acoustics, Vibration and Air Quality team and the growing number of large-scale acoustics mandates to be carried out throughout the province, we are looking for an Acoustics Engineer/Professional to support the Montreal office team in the realization of these mandates. The candidate would be ideally located in the province of Quebec.





WSP carries out numerous acoustics mandates on existing and planned installations to support our clients in the realization of their projects and according to their needs. WSP offers a range of multidisciplinary consulting services, including design management, engineering design and contract administration. The position offers the opportunity to grow professionally by carrying out projects in a structured team.

Your impact

- Carry out acoustical consulting mandates for various projects throughout Quebec.
- Collect, process and analyze acoustic and vibration data to support technical recommendations.
- Perform acoustic modeling using specialized software and interpret the results.
- Program and operate measurement and data acquisition equipment in the field.
- Produce rigorous technical reports and high-quality deliverables that meet customer needs.

The skills that set you apart

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, environment, or a related field.
- Six to ten years of experience in a field related to acoustics.
- Demonstrated experience in data management, processing and analysis.
- ASP Construction card (asset).
- Knowledge of geospatial drawing and analysis tools such as AutoCAD, QGIS or equivalent (asset).
- Experience in consulting engineering.
- Excellent ability to communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
- Rigour, autonomy, sense of organization and spirit of initiative.
- Excellent command of French, both oral and written.
