Job DescriptionAs the Production Scheduler, you will plan and establish production schedules to meet customer demands. You will develop production schedules in accordance with sales forecast, plant and employee capacity, and new business opportunities.ResponsibilitiesCarry out planning and coordination of production schedulesPlan production start-up dates by either starting with the date when materials are available and ready for production or via the use of customer due datesResponsible for determining the products to be built, and the machines or production lines to be usedRead and understand information from job orders and available inventory reportingReview schedules and workflow to ensure that deliveries are made in a timely mannerPerform pre-organization of production materials before the commencement of productionCoordinate and develop production plans with the company’s management teamCreate efficient scheduling processes or methods to attain production goalsPlace orders for production materials to avoid shortage in inventoryGenerate production reports used for important production decisionsReview routine checks and maintenance of production equipment to avoid shut down during productionSolve problems related to material shortage in a timely mannerHandle production issues without hindering production and deliveryQualificationsHigh School Degree or Equivalent required; Associate degree (U.S.)/College Diploma (Canada)
