As a COBOL Developer, you will maintain and modernize mission-critical applications on IBM mainframe systems.

You will serve as a key technical resource for ensuring the stability and evolution of core business logic within large-scale enterprise environments.

What You'll Do- Design, code, test, and debug COBOL programs for both batch and online CICS processing.- Maintain and optimize data access using DB2, VSAM, and JCL to ensure high performance and data integrity.- Analyze existing legacy code and documentation to identify modernization opportunities and refactoring needs.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mainframe applications with contemporary cloud-native architectures.- Provide expert production support,



including root-cause analysis and remediation for mission-critical systems.- Participate in Agile ceremonies to deliver high-quality software updates and contribute to engineering standards.

What We Are Looking For- 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a focus on mainframe environments.- Proven expertise in developing and maintaining applications using COBOL, CICS, and DB2.- Strong proficiency in JCL, VSAM, and mainframe batch/online processing.- Hands-on experience with IBM mainframe systems within banking, insurance, or government sectors.- Experience in modernizing legacy COBOL applications to contemporary standards.- Advanced proficiency in English.
