About YumwoofWe are a fast-growing, innovative air-dried dog food company committed to improving the health and longevity of dogs. Our mission is to provide pet parents with premium, GMO-free, human-grade dog food made from real ingredients. As a global CPG brand, we operate across the U.S., UK, and EU through DTC, B2B, wholesale, and Amazon channels. We are focused on building a scalable, reliable, and cost-effective supply chain that supports long-term growth.
About the RoleThe Operations Coordinator runs the day-to-day execution of our supply chain. You will coordinate production with our co-packers in the U.S. and Spain, manage international freight movements, track freight spend against budget, and maintain freight and manufacturing metrics.
This is a hands-on execution role. You will be working with the Supply Chain Team and also alongside Finance, and Operations, as well as external co-packers, 3PLs, freight forwarders, and customs brokers. The early shift is intentional. It gives strong overlap with our partners in Spain, the UK, and the EU, and covers the start of the U.S. business day.

- Track the availability of packaging and raw materials needed for upcoming runs.
- Identify potential bottlenecks or risks to supply and recommend proposals to mitigate and ensure that co-manufacturer can meet demand.
- Collect and file production documentation, including batch records, COAs, and lot numbers,
so that lot traceability is complete and FEFO allocation is accurate.

International Freight
- Book and manage domestic and international shipments across the U.S., UK, and EU with freight forwarders and carriers.
- Prepare and verify shipping and customs documentation: commercial invoices, packing lists, COAs, HTS classifications, ISF filings, FDA Prior Notice, and EU import requirements. Apply correct INCOTERMS on shipments and flag any cost or risk implications.
- Coordinate with customs brokers to clear shipments and resolve holds, inspections, or documentation issues.
- Track inbound and outbound shipments end to end, and proactively communicate delays to internal teams.
- Coordinate receiving with 3PLs and warehouses, and resolve discrepancies such as shortages, damages, and mismatched quantities.
Budget Management
- Track freight and co-packer spend against the monthly supply chain budget.
- Review and reconcile invoices from freight forwarders, brokers, 3PLs, and co-packers against quotes, POs, and agreed rates before approval.
- Flag budget variances and unexpected charges such as demurrage, detention, storage, and accessorials, and explain their root causes.
- Support Finance with month-end accruals and cost allocations by region and channel.
- Gather freight quotes and maintain a rate comparison to support carrier selection and negotiations led by the Team Lead.
Metrics & Reporting
- Maintain weekly and monthly supply chain KPI reporting, including:
- Co-packer schedule adherence and on-time production
- On-time, in-full (OTIF) inbound and outbound performance
- Transit times and customs clearance times
- Freight cost per unit and freight as a percentage of revenue
- Landed cost by SKU and region
- Budget vs. vigente spend
- Inventory levels and weeks of cover at co-packers and 3PLs
- Keep trackers, dashboards, and shared spreadsheets accurate and current.
- Identify trends and recurring issues in the data, and bring improvement ideas to the Team Lead.

Cross-functional Support
- Provide inventory and shipment status updates to Operations, Finance, and Customer Support.
- Update vendor performance scorecards for co-packers, forwarders, and 3PLs.

- Experience tracking costs against a budget and reconciling vendor invoices.
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills (lookups, pivot tables, basic dashboards).
- Demonstrated experience using AI to automate freight and metric tracking.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage many shipments and production runs at the same time.
