We're growing our team at Real Matter and looking for someone who knows their way around international logistics.
You'll be helping coordinate ocean freight shipments, supporting import and export operations, and making sure customers stay in the loop.
We're a hands-on team where communication, initiative, and getting things done matter more than fancy job titles.
What you'll be doing
- Coordinate and track ocean freight shipments from arrival at the destination port through final delivery in the U.S. and Canada.
- Support export operations, including preparing and sending Shipping Instructions (SI) to shipping lines and carriers.
- Communicate with customers, shipping lines, carriers, and international agents to keep shipments moving.
- Prepare and submit ISF filings and coordinate customs clearance documentation.
- Create and update shipment files in our freight management system.
- Send pre-alerts, shipping documents, and shipment updates to customers and logistics partners.
- Help troubleshoot delays,
documentation issues, and unexpected situations.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or international trade.
- English B2 or higher — you'll be using it daily.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple shipments.
- Someone proactive who takes ownership instead of waiting to be told what to do.
- Comfortable working with technology and learning new systems.
Bonus points if you've
- Worked with ocean freight imports or exports.
- Handled ISF filings, customs documentation, or Shipping Instructions.
- Coordinated shipments with U.S. or Canadian customers.
- Used freight forwarding or transportation management software.
