We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our construction projects by providing accurate and detailed cost estimates. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities
- Utilize Bid software to prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects
- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine project requirements
- Analyze project scope and develop accurate quantity take-offs
- Research and gather pricing information for labor, materials, and equipment
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate estimates
- Prepare bid proposals and submit them to clients within specified deadlines
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as required
- Negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and regulations
Skills:
- Strong proficiency in construction estimating software.
- Excellent mathematical skills with the ability to accurately calculate costs and quantities
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques
- Familiarity with electrical systems and the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Proficiency in using Bluebeam or similar software for reviewing project documents
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and subcontractors
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision
- Ability to negotiate contracts and manage client relationships
