Coranza Growth Partners is hiring on behalf of a growing U.S. tax planning, accounting and financial advisory firm. The firm serves business clients year-round through bookkeeping, payroll, tax planning, business advisory and Fractional CFO services.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, bilingual Bookkeeper & Payroll Specialist to manage the books and payroll for a portfolio of U.S. business clients. This is not an entry-level role: you will work independently, manage multiple clients and deadlines, solve problems and deliver with minimal supervision.

What you will do

- Manage monthly bookkeeping for multiple U.S. business clients in QuickBooks Online
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Review and properly categorize transactions
- Maintain Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Review Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet accounts for accuracy
- Identify, research and correct accounting discrepancies
- Complete month-end closing and prepare financial reports
- Process weekly, biweekly and monthly payroll
- Manage payroll changes, bonuses, deductions and reimbursements
- Review payroll tax filings, W-2s and quarterly reports
- Communicate professionally with U.S. clients by email and phone

What you need

- 2+ years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Strong QuickBooks Online experience (required)




- Strong payroll processing experience (required)
- Solid understanding of P&L; and Balance Sheet accounts
- Experience with reconciliations and month-end close
- Knowledge of payroll taxes and reporting
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines independently
- Advanced English (B2+/C1) to work directly with U.S. clients
- Strong problem-solving, organizational and communication skills
- Integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial information

Nice to have

- Experience with ADP and/or Gusto
- Experience at an accounting, bookkeeping or tax advisory firm
- Degree or technical studies in Accounting (Contaduría Pública, Técnico/Tecnólogo Contable)
