AWS Cloud Engineer (Senior) at BairesDev What You'll Do - Serve as the technical anchor for the infrastructure team, providing deep ops and database expertise.
- Lead cost-reduction initiatives to improve infrastructure efficiency and support profitability goals.
- Manage and optimize large-scale Kubernetes environments and database systems under heavy traffic.
- Solve complex infrastructure challenges and eliminate data layer bottlenecks.
- Mentor team members in operations and infrastructure best practices.
- Drive technical decisions that balance performance, cost, and scalability.
What We Are Looking For - 5+ years of experience in software engineering or cloud infrastructure.
multi-cluster Kubernetes environments, specifically AWS EKS via Helm and Terraform.
- Strong experience with Karpenter for automatic infrastructure scaling.
- Strong relational database administration (DBA) skills within AWS, specifically performance tuning, optimizing parameter groups, and handling data layer choke points for Aurora PostgreSQL under heavy traffic.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
Nice To
Have - GCP experience or adjacency for potential Google Cloud workload migrations.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions optimization.
