About the role
Essence is seeking a smart, enthusiastic individual to become an integral leader of our Advertising Operations team. Our team is responsible for ad serving, asset management, web analytics,
and other optimization technologies associated with the execution of digital advertising – and for ensuring digital campaigns are launched on time and run accurately. We provide consultancy to our clients and colleagues and are at the center of all things tech within the agency. Our team is structured to provide a tailored approach that is both flexible and adaptable to align to our clients needs.
As an Associate Director you will be leading the growth of our department in our Bogota office. You will be responsible for the management and career development of the Ad Ops team; leading the team to maintain a high quality of standards and continually working towards improving operational efficiencies. You will partner closely with the North American Ad Operations team to ensure global consistency in processes and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will have several years experience in developing a team, a strong background in the ad tech landscape.
Some of the things we'd like you to do:
Serve as the Ad Operations lead for our Bogota office.
Lead the onboarding of new team members ensuring their successful induction onto the team and continued development.
Day to day management of Ad Operations team and advise on career development.
Manage team structure and assignment across client products.
Lead in recruitment of new Essentials.
Motivate the team to strive for excellence in innovation, campaign execution, and quality assurance.
Maintain a high quality standard for the Ad Operations department through QA, Trafficking(when needed), and process improvement.
Ensure team commitment to quality assurance striving for 100% accuracy in campaign launches.
Manage departmental escalations.
Identify, establish, and roll out departmental best practices.
Provide guidance for operational efficiency; leading the team to identify opportunities for improvement within processes, supporting systems, and communication channels.
Development and launch of new processes across respective client and/or department.
Influence and drive change in a meaningful way.
A bit about yourself:
6+ years' experience in ad operations, preferably agency-side working on large and complex client accounts
3+ years experience managing a team
Demonstrated leadership skills
Hands-on knowledge of ad serving systems and advertising tracking technologies.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
A strong understanding of industry trends and ad tech developments.
A strong work ethic; able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and deliver results
Well-developed organizational and project management skills
Fine-tuned communication and presentation skills
