As a Security Consultant, you will be a key advisor for IBM’s clients, analyzing business requirements to design and implement the best security solutions for their needs. You will apply your technical skills to find the balance between enabling and securing the client's organization with the cognitive solutions that are making IBM the fastest growing enterprise security business in the world.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Works with the client CISO to ensure security and compliance requirements are integrated into Minimum Viable Solutions (MVS)
Thought leader in DevSecOps practices and embedding security directly into development practices and CI/CD pipelines
In a pre-sales context, partners with clients to incorporate security requirements into minimum viable solutions (MVS) Focus on desired outcomes
Defines business drivers and associated security services that can help clients achieve business and security objectives. Focuses team and sets them on the right path.
Translates client business requirements to help define the structures of solutions and architectures, including systems, applications, and process components
Applies relevant industry experience to shape solutions
In a dynamic, fast-paced pre-sales environment, designs and implements innovative security solutions, ensuring that interdependencies with other functions are addressed
Collaborates with others to validate innovative analytical approaches, and shares experiences with others
Demonstrates the value IBM can bring in the context of the client’s industry
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Proven experience in DevSecOpsHands on expertise with security practices across infrastructure, applications and networksAssists clients in solving challenges and finding the proper balance between enabling and securing in relation to the client's organization and ecosystem

Forges strong working relationships with the client and IBM Garage teams and Product Owner, helping to establish the IBM team quickly as a trusted partnerAble to work across different levels in the organization, including developers, infrastructure operations, and securityAble to articulate security issues in business terms for CXO/LOB leadersApplies consulting methodologies, problem-solving techniques and industry knowledge to client’s security needsDevelops a tactical and strategic understanding of the customer and their IT security environment.
